Odisha Tennis Ball Cricket Association

OTBCA is a registered society under society act of 1860 vide Govt order no 7023-705 /1995-1996 and revised IGR order no 23879/05 of 2017-2018. Orissa Tennis ball Cricket Association (OTBCA) since its establishment in Odisha in 1996, is affiliated to the Asian Tennis Ball Cricket Federation (ATBCA), the Tennis Ball Cricket Federation of India (TBCFI). It is recognized by the Sports & Youth Services Department , Govt of Odisha ,  Odisha Olympic Association and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India and the School Game Federation of India. Tennis Ball Cricket is also included in Khelo India Khelo and Swachh Bharat Mission.

This is a very popular game among youth.

More than 1500 Odisha college students in 90 colleges participate in the state level team selection in under-19 inter-college tournament category for the School Game Federation of India. In Odisha, young players in all the 30 districts with a membership of around 60,000 have enrolled as the member of this game.

  • All India National Championship, Asian and International Championship Tournaments bringing Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals.


Many of the Tennis Ball Cricketers have also joined in govt job in Indian Post, Indian Army, Income Tax department as Tennis Ball Cricket game discipline is under 'Grade-C' category in Govt of India’s Sports Curriculum Panel.

Many sub-continental stars grew up playing tennis-ball cricket. India's master blaster Sachin Tendukar, Pakistan's Waseem Akram, and younger legends-in-the-making such as Rishabh Pant, all mastered the basics playing tennis-ball cricket. Many youngsters who became cricket legends had started their practice in this game in initial days including cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar & M S Dhoni etc. Today, National Government of 12 countries in Asia and 24 state Governments in India have officially recognized Tennis Ball Cricket as a game. Tennis Ball Cricket is being played in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Kenya, Thailand, Hong-kong and Malaysia along with several countries in Asia and the World. In India, Central Govt departments and 24 states have reserved job opportunities for Tennis Ball Cricket champions as well.

Odisha Tennis Ball Cricket Association (OTBCA) promotes Tennis Ball Cricket among players from grassroots level to State levels for national and International participations.
